Persoonia nutans [Proteaceae]; Nodding Geebung
Endangered resident of the Cumberland Plain. Easily viewed at Windsor Downs National Park, where a reasonable population exists. We’re not aware of anyone commercially propagating this species for cultivation (although a hybrid does exist). We would love to see this grown for sale and trial use in landscape. Persoonias can be tricky and sensitive to phosphorous and lack of sharp drainage, however being a clay-soil species it may be more tolerant of standard garden conditions than P. pinifolia or P. lanceolate.
